Brad Gerstner
Brad Gerstner is the Founder and CEO of Altimeter, a life-cycle technology investment firm based in Silicon Valley that manages public and private portfolios. Brad has worked in technology for 25 years - as a securities lawyer; a founding principal at the venture firm General Catalyst; as a three-time co-founder where he raised significant venture funding and sold all three businesses (to IAC, Google and Marchex); and as a Portfolio Manager for PAR Capital. He was born in Indiana, USA, studied at Wabash College, Oxford University, Indiana University School of Law and Harvard Business School. He has personally participated in more than 100 IPOs as a sponsor, anchor and investor. Brad’s notable deals include Snowflake, Mongo, Cockroach, Bytedance, Gusto, Unity, Okta, dbt, Modern Treasury, EPIC Games, Orbitz, Hotel Tonight and Zillow (while at PAR Capital).
Ross Laser
Ross Laser is co-founder of Magnetar Capital, founded in 2005. As President of the firm, he is responsible for firm-wide management. Ross has nearly three decades of experience in financial markets spanning investment strategy, capital formation and derivatives trading. Before co-founding Magnetar, he was the President and a Managing Partner at Glenwood Capital Investments. During his years at Glenwood, Ross was a member of the Investment Committee and co-head of the Management Committee. He has also been a member of the International Monetary Market of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange since 1985 and was on the Lurie Children’s Foundation Board of Directors from 2002 to 2014. Ross earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.
Narv Narvekar
Narv Narvekar is the CEO of Harvard Management Company (“HMC”), where he oversees the HMC portfolio, HMC investment team and HMC support team. Narv also sits on the Harvard Management Board and Harvard University’s Finance Committee. Prior to running Harvard’s endowment, Narv ran Columbia University’s endowment for 15 years. Previously, he was Managing Director of Investments at the University of Pennsylvania for four years. Prior to joining the endowment profession, Narv spent 14 years at J.P. Morgan. Narv is currently on the board of the McKinsey Investment Office, Valence8 and a Singapore family office. He has previously been on the boards of Soros Fund Management, The Investment Fund for Foundations, The Johnson Company, the Geller Investment Office and the Chapin School. Mr. Narvekar has an MBA from Wharton, which he received while working at JP Morgan. He is a graduate of Haverford College.
Ravi Yadav
Ravi Yadav is the Managing Partner of Newlight Partners (“Newlight”), a New York-based private equity firm focused on control investments in growth companies. Newlight was spun out of Soros Fund Management (“SFM”) in 2018. From 2005 to 2018, Ravi was Co-Head of the Strategic Investments Group (“SIG”) of SFM, which managed direct investments in private equity, growth equity, infrastructure, real estate, structured investments and other illiquid assets. He was also a member of SFM’s Investment Committee. Prior to SFM, Ravi was a Partner at Karsch Capital, a long-short hedge fund and a Partner at Sunaria Group, a private equity partnership focused on high-growth enterprises. He started his investment career in 1995 at Warburg Pincus. During his career, Ravi has served on the boards of OneWest Holdings, LLC, Syndicate Holdings Corp, Upland Capital Group, and served as a Trustee of The Spence School. Ravi has an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University.
